Meet Mandi, Luxe’s Bridal Coordinator

She’s been a fixture at Luxe Salon & Spa just about as long as we’ve had our front doors open. Mandi Verville has a flair for fashion and trends, a passion for makeup artistry and finds the most amazing looks on Pintrest (left, she is wearing the t-shirt scarfs she made after reading a posting — Super cute!) . And then there are the brides! “I really enjoy betting to know all of our Brides and working with them and their Wedding Parties to meet all of their Big Day needs,” she says.”I am proud to be their liaison to our salon and all it offers.” The cornerstone of our front desk, Mandi is a booking specialist and customer service natural, making her the perfect person to help Brides coordinate the beauty needs for their Wedding group. “The biggest thing Brides seem to forget is the groom!” she relates. “They forget that the photographer is going to be taking the closeups of the rings and of them cutting the cake, so nails for both are super important.”

According to a tweet from Arizona Weddings magazine (arizonaweddings.com), Thanksgiving starts “Engagement Season,” which lasts three plus months until Valentine’s Day! 11-11-11: The Perfect Start?

The date 11/11/11 only comes around once in one hundred years and given that 11 signifies rebirth or a new beginning, we agree it seems the perfect day for any couple to start their new lives together.In fact, we might be a tad jealous of all those newlyweds who even got to consider it as a date to say “I Do.”

According to David’s Bridal, the nation’s largest bridal retailer with more than 300 stores, approximately 57,000 couples got married on 11/11/11. In Los Angeles, 718 brides were registered with David’s Bridal. Other top cities following suit include Chicago at 572 brides, Miami at 560 brides, New York at 507 brides, Dallas at 461 brides and Houston at 411 brides.

Not to be undone, the folks in Las Vegas saw a record number of weddings. Mills’ Chapel, the largest in the valley, performed about 190 ceremonies when they usually average 300 ceremonies per month. We at Luxe send a toast to all the new couples and hope that their rebirth or new beginning is the start of a happy, long lasting marriage!
