Hot Oscar Beauty Trends!

Oh, don’t you just love the parade of gowns, hairstyles, makeup and polish? We look forward to seeing what Hollywood comes up with every year and what trends we can take away from that very special Oscar walk down the red carpet. What did we notice, love and now recommend to you?

White Gowns. Oh they glittered, like Milla Jovovich’s and were revealed beautifully, like Gywenth Paltrow’s. Even Robin Roberts of ABC was wearing white and Octavia Spencer’s gown really did her curves justice. Lots of eye candy for brides-to-be to get some ideas about what kind of gown (at least the shape) to rock at their own weddings!

Hair. Tina Fey’s amazing, glamorous updo,  JLo’s bun (not many wear it better), Jessica Chastain’s sexy-not-overdone bump and curls, George’s leading Lady Stacy Keibler’s side-swept look and Jovovich’s short, natural style. There are so many ideas for Prom, Weddings, and special days!

Nails. This is the first Oscars that we can remember nails being such a focus and we like it! We’d give an Oscar to  JLo’s sexy red-tipped French manicure by Tom Bachik and the dark nails on Kristen Wiig, Octavia, Natalie Portman and others were eye catching and vampy! We approved of Keibler and Amy Admas, who both wore metallic dresses, kept it neutral with OPI’s Samoan Sand. We can see all of these looks on our clients!

Makeup. Oh how we loved Michelle William’s lip color to go with that fabulous dress! We loved the black liquid liner eyes on the stars like JLo and Chastain and the bright lips on Angelina Jolie, the striking Rooney Mara and and Jovovich. And once again, JLo impressed with her natural-toned shadow and lips. More looks we see coming straight off the red carpet and onto our beautiful clients!
