Faster Hair Growth: Possible?
So, technically there really isn’t a tried and true way to speed hair growth, but there are couple of generally accepted practices that may speed things some, says the gang over at Marie Claire magazine. We think you will like the suggestions:
Scalp massages. We knew those shampoo bowl massages not only felt good, they had to be helping in some way, right? They were “stimulating blood flow to your scalp, which helps nutrients get to hair follicles more quickly,” quotes the magazine. “Be sure that while washing your hair, you massage your scalp with your fingertips, starting at the back of the neck and moving around the hairline.”
Vitamins. The mag’s UCLA-based dermatologist expert also recommends “taking an over-the-counter vitamin every day that contains antioxidant blends and vitamin B derivatives to help increase hair strength.” And don’t forget the most magic supplement of all: Biotin! “Rapunzel was probably taking it, proclaims the magazine. Folic acid is often recommended too, but little has been proven about its hair-lengthening abilities. It does, however, improve biotin absorption. This, alas, is just like everything else: eat well, get rest, take vitamins and watch the magic!
