Hair color is personal. Dry shampoo should be too. By popular demand, Moroccanoil® launches its first-ever dry shampoo in two formulas, for Light Hair Tones and for Dark Hair Tones. What makes it so, well, AMAZING?
“It is specifically targeted to your hair color. The blonde offering features subtle violet undertones to help balance brassiness in between color appointments. So not only does it extend the amount of time between washes, but it also saves you a few trips to the salon. The brunette product is formulated with ultra-fine rice starches that break down and dissipate immediately upon application, which means no more chalky buildup,” explains Mimichatter.com writer Hallie Gould. “Moreover, it deodorizes—with the beloved Moroccanoil scent, no less—as well as infuses argan oil into the hair for hydration and shine.”
Shine did you say? Oh yes! “One major issue with dry shampoo? The texture — they’re super-chalky, and seriously difficult to work a brush through,” notes Refinery29.com writer Maria Del Russo. “Spritz this stuff on, brush your hair, and voilà — instant blowdry realness, with zero white residue or crunch.”
Here is more information about both, straight from Moroccanoil® itself:
Dark Tones: Traditional dry shampoo formulas are known for leaving white residue that diminishes vibrancy and shine. Our Dark Tones formula contains ultra-fine rice starches that break down immediately once massaged into the scalp. This instantly dissipating cleanser leaves no dull residue, maintaining the natural richness of dark tones and leaving hair refreshed.
Light Tones: Maintaining the integrity of light tones can sometimes be challenging. Our Light Tones formula parallels the concept of the purple “wet” shampoo and contains subtle violet undertones to help balance brassiness and bring out the best in light tones. Ultra-fine rice starches absorb oil, buildup and odor, leaving hair instantly cleansed and refreshed.
How to Use: As with all MO Products, this is UV-protecting, argan oil-infused. To use, shake well and then spray 6–8 inches away from dry roots. Let it dry completely, then massage into your scalp, as you would with wet shampoo. Gently brush out hair. Of course, if you have any questions, ask your stylist for more information!
